This backdrop stand is the first one i have ever owned. I have seen a few..and they were junky looking and didn't look capable of holding up the heavy muslin or pro-vinyl backdrops I plan to purchase.That being said, I am GLAD I bought this one:) It has a combination pole setup, with the seven poles being three feet long each. I like that. It gives me a variety of sizes I can hit with combo's of the seven poles. Using it with 4 poles(12 ft') it is extremely sturdy. I have hung 50 pounds of backdrops on it with no problem at all. I have never hung a 20 foot wide one on it yet but with the third stand utilizied, I have no doubt that it can hold up the big boys. Soon..The bag set-up to carry this kit is sweet! It is tough and looks able to hang. I was happy to see that because I had read that the bag was flimsy etc..not so!I bought this to use on location and in my living room/studio limited space set-up. It is perfect for that. So am I happy I spent that much on a backdrop system? You bet I am:) I hate scrimping on things that just add delay and irritation to my set-up time, work flow etc.. I am new but I am learning very fast. Its got 2 nice carrying bags, poles that extend and 3 backdrop stands for all the support you need. Its nice too, because you can use it as a 10 foot wide as well. I have not used it as a 20 foot yet. but dont see it collapsing or not holdong my material. I have used it as a 10 foot wide and it was perfect. The stands are actually really sturdy and wide legged, where most stand are junky and really light. I think its a really good product for the price.
