Review: Recommended for anyone, any age, that wants to exercise in the comfort of their own home - I purchased the Strider 1 (Cs1) a month ago. The hardest part about putting it together was getting my son-in law to get it out of the crate and into the house. It was easily completed in under 2 hours and ready to go. It is fairly large and takes up the space of a twin bed. I'm 80+ years old and have been using it twice a day for 15 minutes to start, and plan to gradually increase the intensity levels. It causes no strain or pain. It's (amazingly) totally quiet so watching TV or listening to music is easy. The computer is a simple counter of time, calories burned, exercise level, miles per hour. It does not have the fancy computer found on the Cs2 that records and stores all the information, but that's the only difference. (I keep an exercise log.) I believe the machine compares favorably with a Nustep at 1/3 the price and it will keep me going well into old age. UPDATE 4/2020: I'm now 86 and still going strong and so is my Treadlife Strider. It's still like new and has never had a problem.
Review: Love this machine! - I’ve had this for about 10 years now and I use it three or four times a week. Does it give me the work out that is standing elliptical does - no. Will a real gym rat feel they gotta work out - probably not. But I have it in my bedroom and I get out of bed in the morning and barefoot in my nightgown I use it for half an hour or 45 minutes watching TV. There’s no excuse not to use it. It gets my heart rate up, it’s easy on my arthritic knees, and I can’t ever blame the weather for not getting to the gym. It’s a sturdy machine and the price was right. I call it a total winning situation!
