This jacket does the job, and has thoughtfully designed underarm vents that can be zipped shut, as well as other thoughtful design elements like the reflective piping and a very high collar. This might be a little heavy to wear in the summer rain, but if it’s really pouring, it will keep you dry. Size note: it runs a little large. I wear XL t-shirts, thought I might be able to squeeze into a large t-shirt. I am a true 3xlt in jackets and coats. this was so small it missed meeting by inches. Fortunately it was Prime & free returns. I will try again in next size up. We saw driving rain, cold, wind, etc. through our trip and this great jacket kept me dry and comfortable. After about 4-hours in a boat of torrential downpours and traveling 20+ mph traversing the lake I was warm and dry the whole time. Double zipper is an awesome feature and worked great. I looked at Cabela's Guidewear, Simms, and other high-end jackets ($300+) and this gem was of equal quality and value. Heads-up, they run a little large, but if you're bulking-up with sweatshirts and other layers underneath it still fits fine.
