The material is nice and it fits reasonably well. By this, I mean it seems to drape well for my body type. Based on some of the other reviews I'm glad I got the large version as opposed to the medium version I normally wear. It seems like these shorts could easily double for swim trunks so I like that.My only problem was that the pockets weren't finished properly for this pair or shorts. It looks like they didn't use as serger to seal the ends pockets and just used a sewing machine. I believe it's a one off issue for this pair but I can't tell since I only bought one pair. It wasn't a big deal for me since I just went and sewed the end where the stitching was loose and will probably finish it with a sewing machine when I get a chance. It would have been nice if the pockets were made of a mesh material instead so you could let it drain the water out easily.If you can find these on sale then they're a inexpensive alternative to the more expensive shorts like these. These shorts are light, breathable, and they even look good! I needed something cooler for concerts and these should work perfectly.
