The material is nice - not very thick, though. The cover is quite large, so it will fit the larger pads well. Would help if the elastic was tighter as it looks kinda baggy.

This changing pad was super soft when I first received it - and it has stayed that way through multiple washings. My baby seems happy when he's on it and it is gentle on his skin. Has withstood repeated washings without any problems. I recommend it.
