A Leader's Heart: 365-Day Devotional Journal

Have followed/read Maxwell for years. This was my first time through this collection of devotions. Nothing really New in this material (in fact, many references to previous works and that's a good thing). A little dose of John ( "I'm your friend") is a good way to start each day. I will revisit this work again. It's that good.

I’m going on year two. I have this book in my office on my desk to the side. Every other day or when the page needs to be flipped, someone will flip the page. The personnel in my office even when I’m not in, love reading it everyday.

So far, I love the book, however, the book arrived damaged. The box it came in did not seem to have any damage. Which leads me to believe it was shipped damaged. The front of the cover is warped and the spine is slightly crushed.

If anyone knows anything about John Maxwell, then you know the messages he always expresses in any of his teachings and books on how to be a leader. This book takes you on a year's journey on reflective quotes, words, and discussions by Maxwell on things and situations that a leader will encounter daily. It gives daily reflections on various situations that a leader can face and it also has a few lines on each page for personal reflections and notes to be written. I greatly appreciate this book because it gives me those short passages to read and reflect on daily each morning before my shift begins. I reccommend this leadership journal to learn about leadership and also self reflect on daily passages to get through the toughest of work days. You will definitely find value in it if you use it daily and jot down notes on each page. Anyone in management or leadership positions should definitely see value with this book.

A beautiful and inspiring read that blessed the days in 2020. I like how the questions were designed for us to really think about applying the lessons.

John Maxwell gives a brilliant daily gem to help develop leadership, character, and spiritual aspects of a person' s life. Then he asks a penetrating question as how you can pass this lesson on to others. It is read out loud at breakfast time each morning. It is a great way to get the day started. So far I have given away a few copies to people in leadership positions. Would like to get copies for all of our adult children and grandchildren. Each devotional page is short, but the results should be long lasting. I recommend this book for anyone in a leadership position. A good way for a parent to get their child off to a positive life style.

I have found this book amazingly helpful as it helps me to meditate in the word deeply and with a discipline everyday. It has help me to examine my heart and pray about many aspects I need to grow as a leader. I find this book very complete it content to what leaders truly need to get to places and grow into a mature Godly character.

I purchased this book for its content, but got so much more in presentation! Hardcover with embossed lettering and design makes it very attractive. There's also room on each page to write a reflection on the day's reading. I purchased multiple copies as gifts for some of the leaders on my team and I know they'll enjoy the book in every way.
