**Q: What is the height of the step?**
A: The height of the step is 91/20in

**Q: Would this work as a bathtub step,and safety bar?I have a clawfoot,and can't find a bar to fit.**
A: This works very well for stepping out of the bathtub. The foot stool with the handle is very stable at all times and I wish I had gotten it much sooner. I'm not sure what you mean about using it as a safety bar.

**Q: Does it fold up?**
A: No.  It doesn't fold.  It's very sturdy and you feel safe holding on to the handle.  I do wish it was higher, however.

**Q: How high is the top of the base and what are the base dimensions? Thanks**
A: The base is 9 3/4" high, and it is 9 7/8" wide by 14" front to back.  The handle if 34 7/8 " high, including the foam rubber grip in the middle.It is very handy.

Old people need this instead of flimsy 3 step deathtraps to reach the oil on the top shelf. It's just one step so don't plan on changing light bulbs or cleaning the gutters with it but when you just need a little reach to the top shelf, this is a quality, stable step up with strong hand rail for stability and moving it around without bending over. Easy to assemble.
