I bought this shirt because it looked breathable and lightweight, and fortunately this is what I was looking for. The shirt is made of thin soft cotton material with a bit of spandex stretch that is just perfect.The material is thin and is almost to the point of transparent, but surprisingly, it is opaque enough that nothing is showing, not even your bra. Of course, I am only saying this for the black colored shirt I bought, and I can’t say attest or confirm that for the lighter colored shirts. There is a sort of interesting distressed pattern on the shirt that makes the shirt not entirely black. I really don’t know how to explain it.The shirt is a nice longer length that can almost pass as a tunic length. It covers the backside and drapes nicely. The neck collar is modest and not too wide. The sleeves are a bit longer than the traditional short-sleeved T-shirt, but I do like this because I like covering my thicker arms.I ordered a Large although I’m normally a Medium because I wanted a loose-fit breathable airy shirt to wear during the summer. The sizing guide they provide is spot-on so order according to your size measurements, and maybe order a size up if you prefer a looser fit like me.Overall, this is a great shirt, either for layering or for individual wear. It’s a great summer hot-weather shirt because the shirt is thin and airy. At the same time, I like the smoothness of the material and how it has a little stretch to it. This will definitely be a regular in my summer wardrobe.UPDATE 08/15/17:After laundering this shirt several times, the threads are becoming loose and are actually unraveling. One sleeve completely has its stitches unraveled, and I can't really fix it either. Unfortunately I have to update and say the stitching and durability of this shirt is quite short. I love the feel and breathability of this shirt, but the loose threads are a serious problem. Updating the star rating from 5 to 3.UPDATE #2 08/30/17:The customer service is impeccable. After reading about the problem of loose threads that I encountered with my shirt, they reached out to me and sent me another shirt to see if this shirt also has the same problem. I did notice some loose threads this time around, so I went ahead and checked to see if the threads came loose and unraveled. Not so much, but I will have to double check again when this shirt gets washed. A third update will be coming up soon. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Perfect shirt for year round wear. *by L***I on July 31, 2017* I love this basic t shirt! It is soft and not super thick so it is perfect for summer. Yet not so thin you have to wear something underneath it. I have worn and washed it and haven't noticed any fraying, bleeding or piling. I even toss it in the dryer with my normal items and dry it without it shrinking! This t shirt can be worn with many different bottoms, so you can dress it up or down. I wore it with capris and sandals one day and a white skirt the next time. It is long enough to go with leggings. I typically wear a medium in tops. I purchased a XL for it to be a bit flowing. The stitching is not loose at all. The fabric is really soft. The sleeves have a small slit on them that is super cute.
