It is for all levels of student performance and can be customized considerably for students who require remediation or for higher performing ones requiring greater rigor. I have been using Jump Math for 5 years with my son and am completely pleased with the program. Many homeschooling parents take issue with the high parent involvement piece necessary for the program to effectively work (they would prefer to be more hands off). I for one appreciate the extensively organized system of scripted lesson plans and aligned literary resources (all in the 600+ page downloadable teacher's edition). In addition to homeschooling my son I am a professional educator (teach high school chemistry) who appreciates the extensive research in the neurological basis of mathematics acquisition the highly educated author, John Mighton, performed in creating this program. Many math programs are created by text book companies looking to make huge profits. This one was actually created by a mathematician (Mighton). It is superior to most programs available. There is no colorful pictures or busy extraneous wording to distract learners. Best of all the assessment books are only $9 each and one can download the teacher's edition for FREE online. Furthermore, the company operates as a nonprofit so it's not just interested in selling books and it conducts several low cost online and in-person professional development courses to teach the program to parents and educators alike.
