I really hate writing poor reviews, but this is a case of getting what you pay for, not necessarily what is advertised. These pillow covers were advertised as 1000 thread count and yet the packaging states nothing about the thread count. I don't recall ever purchasing any sheets that neglected to list the actual thread count on the packaging. They are also supposed to be Sateen. I've been using Sateen sheets, duvet covers and pillow covers for the past 25 yrs. and these just feel like plain cotton. See the attached photos of the packaging and a comparison of the actual "1000 count Sateen" pillow cover next to an average 300 count Sateen pillow cover. The top cover is the one you are buying. The bottom is the 300 count. Pictures speak louder than words. I will be interested to see if the $79.99 value set of pillow covers they have promised to send me for reviewing will be nicer.UPDATE: They finally sent me the "$79.99 value" set of pillow covers in return for my review. These pillow covers are the exact same product (same code, same package, same covers) except these are seconds or, basically, their returns or damaged pieces. They arrived in packaging that had melted the zipper onto the pillow covers leaving a red colored zipper stain on the cover.
