They are wide enough to fit a wide array of products. They came with adhesive strips as well as screws, so you can decide how you want to hang them. I chose the adhesive strips and so far they are strong enough to hold the shelves and everything I have on them. They are very sturdy with good weight on them, the kids loved putting their books on them once they were on the wall!! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Stronger than most *by H***Y on April 2, 2019* I did not use the included self adhesive mounting gadgets, but opted to mount directly to the wall because the objects I placed on the shelf are quite heavy. Very satisfied with the way I installed the product.
