## Questions & Answers

**Q: Does it have a thermostat?**
A: Yes, it has a thermostat and timer. I love the removable plates. So easy to wash.

**Q: How long is the cord?**
A: Exactly 2 feet long, also myself and a few other buyers did not receive any flippers...

**Q: What's the difference between the George Foreman Grill GRP95R and GRP9BLK other than color?**
A: WHile I can't answer that question, it was interesting to find out that the 6 year old grill I had (silver color) was nearly the same as the GRP95R. The only change I could see was the release for the grill plates which had changed - for the better but still not great. It has the same electronic heat control (which was a must for me) and timer. It still doesn' heat very evenly but better than any other indoor grill I've had. I hoped I wouldn't need to turn the meat halfway through, but alas, that was not to be. The new one did NOT come with a temp guide. I am so glad I saved my instructions and temp guide from GF grill number 1.

**Q: How many burgers can fit on the grill**
A: 6 burgers would fit on this grill.

## Customer Reviews

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Awesome Item
*by R***N on September 20, 2011*

I'm not one to write my personal feelings about an item I buy from Amazon, but I felt this item deserved some praise. A few years back, we decided to get healthy...joining a gym & eating better. I bought an outside BBQ grille. We grilled chicken every night that summer. It took a while but wasn't too bad. BUT, winter hit & suddenly it wasn't fun anymore. Someone suggested a GEORGE FOREMAN grille. I had always figured they were a gimmick item. I bought a cheaper model WITHOUT removable plates. It was great, cooking inside in about 10 minutes and I felt the chicken tasted great. We use Marinate on our chicken, a different flavor every night to avoid boredom. The only flaw was clean up. It's hard to wash something that has to sit on the counter while you wash it. After 2 years of this original Foreman grille, I figured it was time to get a better model. I did lots of research and picked THIS grille that i'm reviewing WITH the removeable plates.AWESOME - AWESOME - AWESOME. I've had it for many months now, cooking on it every night. I had read other reviews and was scared that I wouldn't like it as much as one with fixed plates...but I like it much more. I find it heats up good, and stays hot, and cooks the chicken completely and with much flavor. Clean up is so easy now I can't believe it.Here's my tips to help anybody using a Foreman grille for the first time. I cook Boneless/Skinless chicken thighs. I marinate them in a freezer bag before I leave for work that morning. I set this grill on 425 and wait until it reaches that temp. It takes 8 minutes to reach it. Do not rush it and put the meat on before it's reached the desired temp. Then I open the grille, set the meat on and set the timer to 10 minutes. This allows the chicken to cook completely, and it puts a little seered outside on it.About clean up, here's my tips on that: I let the grille sit on the counter while I eat. That allows the grille to cool down enough to handle without burning myself. After eating, I unclip the grille plates, lay them in the sink, and fill them with water. I don't fill the sink with water, I just put enough water on the grilles so they are wet. Anytime later after 5 minutes have passed, I can just wipe the plates clean because on the non-stick. I drY them and snap them back onto the grille, and put it away till the next day. It's easy !!! Now that I have a Foreman Grille with REMOVABLE plates, I will never go back. I see some people do not like them, and it's beyond me why they don't. I almost let the bad reviews scare me away...but i'm glad I didn't.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Product
*by S***E on April 2, 2011*

We did a lot of research before we bought this product. There are a few concerns listed on it regarding food not cooking evenly and it overheating. We have used it multiple times now, even on thick steaks and have not seen either of those problems. In fact, we absolutely love this grill. We use it all the time because it cooks the food within minutes without overcooking it. For someone that works during the day and doesn't have hours to stand in front of the stove at night, this grill is a savior. The removable plates are so easy to get on and off and clean. I would never get a grill without removable plates after using this one. The cleanup is just as fast as the cooking! The grill is a nice enough size that you can easily fit two large steaks or 3 large burgers (for size). It does get hot, but all of the areas remain cool enough to touch. As long as you don't stick your hand on the plates, you will be fine. Since I got this grill, I have used it more than I have used my stove and it will continue that way. I give this the highest rating possible, as I have not been able to find anything wrong with it yet.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ My first one lasted 10 years
*by M***E on October 4, 2021*

I purchased my first "George Foreman Lean Mean Fat Reducing Grilling Machine" over 10 years ago, and have cooked 3 to 4 meals a week on it. I started getting warnings on the LED readout and decided the electronics were starting to fail. So, I hopped on to Amazon to find a replacement. And found the same model and design as the one I bought over 10 years ago (at roughly the same price), which says a lot about the durable usefulness of this product, and not just some fad that came and went.I love grilling as much as the next guy, but if you're an apartment dweller such as myself and can't just go fire up the charcoal or the gas grill, this is an efficient and low mess, low maintenance alternative that will get your steak done in under 10 minutes, and easy cleanup afterwards.I've cooked steak, chicken, kabobs, sausage, pork tenderloin, burgers and bacon wrapped chicken, bacon wrapped hot dogs and (almost) always to perfection.A few hints:1. I use a cooking spray either lightly on the food, or the grill plates (which can get a little messy, better on the food). I use olive oil for low temp cooking, for higher heat cooking to really sear a steak or other meats, especially hamburger, I use canola or another high heat oil. I found that food like hamburger sticks to the grill plate unless I use canola.2. Four burgers take about 5 to 7 minutes at 400. A 1 inch NY strip (12 - 16 oz) takes about 5 to 7 minutes at 425. 5 Italian sausages takes about 10 - 12 minutes at 425. Using high heat really gives it the nice seared grill cooking and you can use any kind of seasoning you like.3. Cleaning - I usually rinse the plates under hot water while they are still hot from cooking. Careful! They are sill hot from cooking! I use a plastic / nylon bristle brush to remove any debris while rinsing. While you can put the plates in the dishwasher, I rarely do and found they don't get that clean and may have worn the non-stick surface, as some dishwasher detergents might. After rinsing, I let the plates dry on the counter before re-attaching them on the unit.Hope this helps you decide!
