I have a Dell Venue 11 Pro laptop tablet Windows 8 computer. It can be charged two different ways. 1) With a special cable setup, it can be charged via a small USB Connector on the tablet. 2) It can also be charged with a Dell Docking Station, Reg. Model: K10A, Reg Type: K10A001. There are three separate parts for the Docking Station: an AC cable to plug into 120 V wall power, a small transformer box with cable to plug into the AC cable and the Docking Station, and the Docking Station itself. Good luck! **Q: What is the difference between this docking station and dell k10a docking station k10a001?** A: Both numbers are written on the label on my Dell Docking Station. K10A is called "Reg. Model" and K10A001 is called "Reg. Type". I works well, but the connection between the tablet & dock is a little sensitive to being bumped or knocked. I think this is inherit to its design & Not because the one I got was defective or flaky. An important Note: The HDMI port for a monitor on the tablet is a Mini-MDMI port & requires an adapter from Mini to Full size, but the Dock has the normal full-size port eliminating the adapter. Because HDMI cords are normally thick & stiff, a person can easily stress & damage this port by trying to move the cord out of the way while its plugged in. The mini sized port is even more susceptible to being stressed because it is smaller. I would rather replace the Dock because of a broken port, than replace the tablet itself.
