This thing hella bird nest on me. I officially hate baitcasting reels now but that’s probably due to my own techniques and lack of knowledge.Much prefer the ease of spinning reels for now.. as a noob.

Got this for my brother as a gift and was impressed yet again. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, KASTKING DOES IT RIGHT!!!! Stop overpaying for other reels and trust the multiple 5 star reviews. This reel is affordable and great for the price. Awsosme as a backup reel, travel, and is virtually a copy of the abu Garcia black max old version. Great job guys keep it up 👍🏻

This is my first baitcasting reel so I didn't want to spend much money on one and find out I didn't want to use it after the first few tries. Read the reviews on many reels in this price range and decided on KastKing. I picked it up to use mostly as a frog setup for bass fishing. I liked the red and black color scheme as it matches the rod I have it on. So far it has performed well considering my lack of experience. I have only done one birds nest so far which took about 15 minutes to clear. My fault as I started to reduce the drag and went a little too far that time. I am sure once I get more comfortable with using it and some more experience I will be able to cast farther and more accurately. For the money I would say this is a good value. How long it will hold up? I am not sure as I only have it a short time as of this review.

I waited a while before I wrote a review, and I have nothing but good things to say about this reel!!My plan was to buy a cheap baitcaster and see how I like it before dropping money on a pricey one. Someday I may buy another reel, but not for long. This reel is awesome!!You do need to practice if you’ve never used a baitcaster. I spent some time in a parking lot casting and casting. Then untangling a birds nest, then casting again. It does take some skill to use this type of reel, but when you get it down, it is so nice! I’ve never been able to place a cast like I can with this reel.I like this brand so much I bought a KastKing spinner too, but I hardly use it! LolThis was starting off to see if I wanted to change my reel, now this KastKing baitcaster is my first choice when I go fishing.Pair this baitcaster and my Berkeley rod, and using a H&H double spinner, I almost feel bad for the bass in my area... almost.

Got this reel as a "Happy Father's Day to me" present. Mounted it on a super cheap 7' 2pc MH rod, spooled it up with Trilene XL 17lb mono and tied on a 3/4oz Jig head hook with a 5" Senko. This thing rips! Got it dialed in and I'm doing no thumb casts way way out there. The first dozen or so casts were way further than I gauged based on the reel I replaced. Once I got used to the new distance I can land this thing on a dime. Love it! So worth every penny even if longevity proves to be an issue. Can't beat it for the money :)

I have purchase KastKing before and it soon became one of my main casting reels. As many of you do I had to return something for a credit with Amazon. I was limited to $35 dollars. I was looking at many casting reels but couldn't find anything that look like it would fit my style of fishing for the money. Then I said I wish KastKing had one in my price range and so I just started looking in KastKing alone. I found this one and just as soon as I put my hands on the reel I loaded 50 braid and took it to the lake. Lets just say I didn't think I could find a smoother casting reel, I was wrong. This reel is crazy smooth. I will be doing a YouTube review on this casting reel in the near future and try and update my review here.

was very good in my first fishing trip using it, just it was doing backlash many times maybe because of im new to baitcast reels, im using usually spinning reels and rover 60, but this reel is much lighter which was making me feel more comfortable and do fishing for longer time, the drag is very good also, attached my photos for fishing with this reef

I just got this reel in but so far I'm impressed. The reel is extremely compact and for the sale price, you can't beat the quality. I wish it had dual braking and if it weren't on sale I would have gone with the Royale Legend that does offer dual braking but his fit my need in the 6:3:1 category.This is my first KastKing reel and its quality is comparable to my BPS I have currently that I paid triple the price for. I'm excited to get some line on it and give it a real-world test but so far I don't think there is anything better at the price point.
