Charger came on for about 20 seconds before the fuse clicked out again and again. What could be the problem? tks** A: Not sure but maybe this will help. When you plug cart up to charger, the first thing it does is check the voltage on the batteries. If total not above 25v it cuts off. This may be the problem. Check voltage on each battery individually and add up the total. If not up to 25, charge each battery individually to bring up total. Careful if using a 12v charger on a 6 or 8 volt battery. It doesn't take much. **Q: Could a bad one be the reason my charger will not turn on? The little front switch black/white seems to be broken. No power when plugged in.** A: Lots of reasons it could be. Can be the circuit breaker not usually The initial culprit usually a sign that something else is broken **Q: Should the switch be up or down for 48 volt** A: This is a thermal breaker that trips (like a fuse). This is not a normal switch. If the breaker is tripped you will see white on one side. There is no adjustment on these. They work on both 36v and 48v chargers but they are connected to the AC side of the charger (electrical outlet side you plug the charger into). If this has tripped there is usually another problem with the charger like a bad diode pack. Let me know if you have any other questions.
