Review: Love this product! - I purchased this product to paint my kitchen, and it worked exactly as I had hoped it would. It is an easy-to-use tool and does an excellent joy at painting the edges of a room. I used it to paint around the top of my kitchen's ceiling. I simply attached it to an extension pole that I had on hand, and I was able to reach all the way up my 12-foot kitchen walls to paint around the white trim. Furthermore, I did not need to tape off the trim because this tool worked so well. I even used it to paint a few of my kitchen walls instead of using a roller and it worked flawlessly. That way you can get a feel of how the tool works (it will glide easier once you have paint on it). Paint the pad with a brush. The first time using it you will need to paint it on several layers. Make sure you are only getting paint on the pad. Check all other parts to make sure they are clean before applying on the wall, especially the wheels. Don't try to line it up on the ceiling right away or you could miss and get paint on the ceiling. Start a few inches below and then glide it up. Go slow and do not push hard. When you push, the sponge soaks up more paint and then you will get paint on the ceiling. Roll along the ceiling line gently until no more paint is being applied on the wall. Go in one direction. Do not go back in forth. As you go along, do not apply too much paint to the pad. It will saturate the sponge and you will get paint on the ceiling. Every time you remove the pad from the wall, make sure the tool is clean before applying it again. This probably works best on flat walls, but I successfuly used it on textured drywall. Just go slow and do not push too hard!

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Does it come with any pads?**
A: It comes with only one pad, which lasts longer than you'd expect but does eventually need to be replaced. And the ShurLine pads Amazon tries to pair with this product do not work. I love this edger so much that I wrote to the manufacturer and asked them where to find pads. They said Amazon decides which of their products to carry, and not much they can do about it - so I ended up paying $6.50 shipping on three $3.86 pads, when I already have Prime. **Q: Can this attach to painting pole?**
A: I do believe so... Actually I use mine on a long arm pole and use it to wash the vinyl siding  on my house. I have never painted with it. I have used it on many different extension poles.  It seems to be pretty universal.

**Q: Can this be used to cut in a ceiling? (not the walls, but the ceiling itself).**
A: I would not use this at all.  It is difficult getting enough paint onto the pad even using a paint brush to paint the pad.  It is not worth the hassle.  You would be better off getting a good Wooster angled paint brush or just taping off.  If your ceilings are really high then get a McCauley's Revolver tool to hold the (good) paint brush and then attach that to an extension pole.  That would work better than any of the edgers currently being sold.  I just painted a 2200 sq. ft. house that we purchased with high ceilings and used the above mentioned tools.  Go slow and steady.

**Q: does it work with texture walls?**
A: It depends on the depth of the texture.  If you have a slight, sanded type it would be okay.  The nylon bristles are about a quarter of an inch long. For cottage cheese or popcorn type ceilings and plaster swirl walls,  a long nap roller is best.

I purchased this product to paint my kitchen, and it worked exactly as I had hoped it would. It is an easy-to-use tool and does an excellent joy at painting the edges of a room. I used it to paint around the top of my kitchen's ceiling. I simply attached it to an extension pole that I had on hand, and I was able to reach all the way up my 12-foot kitchen walls to paint around the white trim. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Don't waste your money on other paint pad edgers

Learn from my experience: this is the paint pad edger that you want. Other pad edgers I tried get paint where you do not want it too easily. This device has wheels that are easily observed and cleaned. Also, aving wheels on two sides is a very useful feature, as is the fact at the threaded handle can be flipped 180 degrees. I also found that I could control the speed (you want to go slow) and placement much better than with other edgers (I think the reason for this is that this edger has a thick foam pad under the surface--not found on similar devices. The only down-side is that the threads on my extension stick did not thread into the handle easily. The Mr. Longarm web site says that the threads are standard, but I think they could makes the threads better conform to standard thread devices. But this pad edger is so good, I will not knock a star off for that little difficulty. I do not understand why these edgers are not stocked in big box stores.
