It's a small, plastic, 10 well, palette. Three of them, in this case. I use these for acrylics (painting miniatures) and watercolours. They are rather small, so if you're working on a very large painting, or anything using substantial amounts of paint in a shorter time, or if you wear larger than a medium glove and wish to hold the palette in the "traditional" manner, these may not work well for you. I like them because they are great for the smaller amounts of paint that I tend to use at once, and fit nicely in the small space I am allotted. I usually leave the palette on the table when using it, but sometimes pick it up to use it, and the size means it is light enough to avoid exacerbating my severe carpel tunnel. They also clean up very nicely, nest perfectly, and fit quite well in one's art bag for storage or travel.Bottom line (TL;DR): great for kids, small-medium hands, small spaces, travel. Clean easily. Lightweight. Inexpensive.
