I used it until it finally blew out. The brush lasted in total almost 8 years with HEAVY USE (think between 4-6 times a week). The barrel even got partially crushed and still worked the last 2 years. Of course by the 6 year mark it started to have bent bristles and the barrel was crushed so it wasnt brushing my hair as nicely but it absolutely pulled its weight. This is seriously the MOST INCREDIBLE tool to get amazing volume WHILE straightening your hair WHILE drying it. It's all in one. I cant Express how much I love to use it. I have medium length blonde hair which is pretty thick. This brush manages to dry my entire head within 6-10 minutes without me parting it and drying it in segments. This wand I just purchased is my second one and I can clearly say that the second one is just as perfect quality as the first. The most recent ones now aren’t Jilbere and burn out every year. They are now Conair brand even though the product description says Jilbere. The older ones last 5 years and one only over heated when I was traveling and used the wrong converter. The first one lasted about 4 years and I loved it. One day it just started spitting out cool air so I ordered a replacement from amazon. As soon as i started using it the barrel felt loose and it is so HOT even on low. I mean dangerously hot as in it burns to use it . It makes your skin near the hair line very red and the handle gets hot too. I always unplug it after use because it feels like it could be a fire hazard - that is how hot it is.I have notified the seller I bought it from in hopes of a replacement. I have only had this for less than 2 months. While I love the original product , I cannot recommend it until I find out if the company will send me a properly working item. I have noticed several other reviews with the same complaint . Someone is going to get injured with these defective items.
