Review: This is a beautiful piece of furniture - This is a beautiful piece of furniture. It looks great in my office. It came fully assembled and well packaged. The top drawer locks which is great for those items that need to be secure. It is heavy (I needed some muscle assistance to get it up the stairs), but that means it is solidly constructed. Although a bit pricey compared to others, I feel it was a great purchase.
Review: Really like the look, but... - ... wish they would have been more descriptive as to the type and color of wood on this lateral file. I bought this to go with my Kathy Ireland by Martin Southampton Office Desk thinking it would be a perfect match. I bought my desk from a local furniture store where I had my eye on this lateral file to go with it. By the time I saved enough money up to purchase it, the store had discontinued it. I was thrilled to find it on desertcart. When it arrived, however, the wood on top of the file does not match the desk I have. The wood on the desk is dark red cherry while the wood on the drawer file is a light maple. Also, the top drawer on the file does not close all the way. I'm guessing something happened during transit b/c it seems a bit 'off kilter'. It simply doesn't stay shut. These two issues are unfortunate, but I will keep it b/c I don't want the burden of exchanging it... it is a heavy piece... I am 5'2 115lbs and I had to help the delivery man lift it up 2 flights of stairs into my house. Anyhow, the thought of sending it back makes me weary. This being said, it is a very solid piece and does look good in my office. Just wish the colors of wood matched.. and that the top drawer would shut right! Very modern and stylish though.

This is a beautiful piece of furniture. It looks great in my office. It came fully assembled and well packaged. The top drawer locks which is great for those items that need to be secure. It is heavy (I needed some muscle assistance to get it up the stairs), but that means it is solidly constructed. Although a bit pricey compared to others, I feel it was a great purchase.

This product was coming apart right from the box. The box was damaged, the product was damaged and once we opened it we could tell it was very poor quality
