Instructions are lacking so I put extra holes in the wood I wouldn't have if the instructions had been better. One of the mounting brackets is very sturdy. The rectangular one bent as soon as I started closing the door panel. Panel isn't very heavy but bracket is an extremely poor choice for the amount of closing force required for the strut. I will be returning them.
