Review: most thoughtful assembly / excellent quality wood - Putting this bad boy together was a dream. I have been assembling stuff like this for 20 years and have wanted to burn some pieces of furniture in the past rather than finish assembly. this thing was quite the opposite. it was wonderful. I can't recall all the little touches that made this so consumer friendly, but here are a few: - the Styrofoam packaging were in little bags so foam doesn't get everywhere during unpacking (granted a little more plastic used) - you will not need ANY of your own tools. seriously (see below) - on other projects, the bolts to connect the frame typically need to be held in one hand with a flat head screw driver and tightened with the other hand. these were designed to be held with your hand while tightened. - they give you a ratchet for tightening all the allen bolts. you will likely decide to keep it for other projects. it is a really nice little tool. - the predrilled holes for the frame line up perfectly and have perfect fitting grooves for the washers - the metal support arm is felted on the underside to prevent metal on metal noises from appearing over time - the wooden platform lays in with velcro. honestly, a brilliant idea. it will never move and it installs in 1/4 the time vs a drilling option. once you are done, you have a beautiful, sturdy bed frame. hats off to the manufacturer all the way around!

Its obvious that a lot of thought and care was put in regarding assembly instructions. It was easy, clear and concise. They've even made it simple with a neat hardware package (the washers and bolts) separating and labeling each set. Tools were also provided! I couldn't be happier. The wood us REAL and very sturdy. I'm amazed that something with this much quality is at such a low price point.

**Q: is this made from real wood pine or manufactured to look like wood?  thanks**
A: Contrary to some the primary reason for fabricating larger panels of solid wood by utilizing the “butcher block” method of gluing smaller pieces together, especially when working with woods such as pine provides protection from warping.  That being said, a cross section of the wider panels would reveal the direction of the grain of each block opposite that of the adjoining blocks, especially quarter sawn.  This process is far more labor intensive, by man or machine, than just joining long lengths or wider panels.  According to the seller’s copy, these are solid blocks of pine rather than a pine veneer over MDF or particle board.

**Q: What is the clearance underneath?**
A: 6 inches

**Q: How thick should the mattress be?**
A: Shouldn’t matter. I have the nectar memory foam mattress and this frame works perfect

**Q: I need to float this in the middle of the room, not against a wall. What does the back of the headboard look like?**
A: It’s flimsy and without support it may fall off sooner. I would not recommend. I’m regretting even with the support of the wall!

Putting this bad boy together was a dream. I have been assembling stuff like this for 20 years and have wanted to burn some pieces of furniture in the past rather than finish assembly. this thing was quite the opposite. it was wonderful. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Quality Bed Frame!

We love this bed frame! It arrived while my husband was at work, so I decided to assemble it myself. Be advised! We ordered a queen size, and the box it arrived in was at least 6 feet long and weighed well over 150 lbs. I was able to drag it into our house, but there was no way I was getting it up stairs on my own. Thankfully, there weren’t a ton of pieces so unpacking the box on our ground level and carrying up the individual pieces worked just fine. As far as assembly goes, the instructions are very straight-forward and easy to understand. I had no issues and the frame itself turned out beautiful! It’s sturdy, made of great quality wood, and it doesn’t shake or squeak when we’re on it. The price is excellent compared to other similar bed frames we were looking at. Overall, it’s a great addition to our bedroom. And our dog seems to think so too.
