I have short, chin length hair and was worried about the barrel being too large. The package itself was beautiful and the box was very sturdy. The instruction manual was easy to understand and I was able to read the directions in just a few minutes. I plugged the device in and used the 'low' setting to dry and style my hair. I started with mostly damp hair at 7:30, and at 7:34 I was finished. My hair had been dried and was soft, frizz-free. and had a great shape and volume. I styled my bangs in place, and they have stayed all day. My hair will usually lose its shape a few hours after styling, but it's held up well and still looks nice at the end of the workday.The brush has two heat settings (high and low), and low worked perfectly for my hair. I would imagine I would need to use the high setting for curling, but for volume and straightening, the low setting is perfect. The barrel was a good size, and the bristles didn't tangle in my hair. I will say that some of the bristles could probably scratch your head if you put a lot of pressure on the brush, but I had no problem using the brush on the roots of my hair. The stay cool tip worked perfectly and the handle is the perfect size to hold in one hand. This hot air brush was so simple and easy to use and I got an amazing result. Easy to use, at 1.25 in perfect size. Really nice BUT... blasting hot. I actually burned myself on it. The thing destroyed my hair. There isn't enough heat protectant spray in the world to stop this thing from cooking your hair.
