**Q: Will this fit over a round hole opening in my sink since it has a square base?**
A: As Long as the hole is at least 1 1/4" (one and one quarter inches) in diameter and no more than 1 7/16" it will work fine.  It is best to use on a sink or counter that has only a single hole.  If yours has three holes you can buy a separate plate that will cover the unused holes.
