The calibration file helps the software/app to compensate for frequencies that aren't linear with the mic and provide a linear response in RTA. This mic is factory calibrated to provide linear response however its not linear after 5KHz. The value is slightly off but its within 1dB response **Q: What is the frequency response?** A: It is limited to the frequency response of the input on your device. The mic itself is full audible range.
