When I went to return, they said I could not if it had been installed (huh?!, how do you know if it works if not installed!!!) and not in the original box "like new". desertcart only has customer help by AI answers. AI keeps repeating the same answers over and over which are not helpful. I think after a decade this may be the first thing I have ever returned to desertcart and it was a very disappointing result. Going to purchase less on desertcart if this is the return policies/help. The tank is a separate item. The faucet works perfectly. Having the option for filtered cold water or filtered instant hot water has been an upgrade in our kitchen that I will now need to have in every place I live in going forward. It is without question the upgrade that gets used the most. The build quality is great. It's a solid faucet. We had a plumber come and install everything for us and he did a great job. Do I need a whole new unit?** A: Had the same problem (on hot side) and it was due to some deposits inside the plunger. Turn the water off, there is a nut on top of the lever which you can undo. I put some vinegar on for about 10 minutes; after a while the plunger popped up, and then I let it soak 10 more minutes. Put the lever back on an it works again. Bad design that if any thing goes wrong, like an o-ring, you have to replace the entire $400 faucet **Q: what is the maximum temperature?** A: I have it set to the last "dot" before max, and an instant read thermometer reads 175-177 for water directly from the tap (into a mug). For comparison, I tested coffee that just finishing brewing, and that was about 172-175. **Q: Can I use it for regular filtered water rather than boiling water?** A: The water runs through a hot water tank.
