Review: High quality & affordable - Fantastic set of watercolour brush pens. I dont have a ton of experience with them and haven't tried other brands (outside of a few random ones I've picked up here and there) but these are better than I hoped for and included more than I thought they would. Highly pigmented, great range of colours, easy to use and blend super well. For less than $1 per pen, these are phenomenal. I havent used them long enough to know how quickly they run dry, but hope they last long. Definitely a good purchase for any artist. Only things I wished were different were that it had a handle on the spine and not just the little hook at the top, for easier carrying. I also found the order of colours strange, ordered by number instead of colour family which seemed to be very random, but that's easily rearranged to suit your preferences. Feels over all high quality.
Review: Beginner-friendly, same effects as watercolor paint but easier to use - Amazing brush pens! They're very pigmented and saturated. The colors blend/mix well, and you can control how much they look like markers vs. watercolors based on the paper you use and how much water you use. The nibs are long and pointed, so depending on how hard you press down, you can create a variety of thicknesses with the stroke. I was able to get lines as thin as an "l" in 10-pt font if holding the brush lightly, and almost 1cm thick if angling for a thick line. You can use them in regular coloring books IF the pages are single-sided, but put a blank paper underneath for bleed-through just in case, since coloring book paper can be very thin. On watercolor paper, these work just like pan/tube watercolor paints. There are a lot of colors so you don't have to worry about mixing the perfect color, and the set also includes two empty water brushes to use for blending and spreading the color. The only downsides are that you have to orient the pens correctly when putting them into the plastic case for them to be 100% secure, and that there are no color names or numbers written on the barrels. These also come with a pad of paper that has light outlines to use with free YouTube tutorials available from the brand. Since it's real watercolor paper, it's thick enough to use the blank backs for additional painting. The tutorials are VERY beginner-friendly and walk you through step-by-step. My item photo shows the pear I painted. I am far from an artist and I haven't done watercolor for about 10 years since trying these pens.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Suitable for wet on wet technique??**
A: Not directly with the pen itself. If you put some color onto a palette and use it with a brush you can. I found that with using the pens directly on wet paper the nib tended to suck up the water and push the ink away, turning it white. Had to hold it upside down for a bit to let the ink flow back onto the nib.

**Q: How well do these hold up? I heard the Ohuhu brand pens started fraying on the tips after a short time of use.**
A: I've used these periodically for a few months with very minimal fraying. I'm going to assume the degree of fraying is due to pressure, angle, and hours of use. I'm very pleased with these pens. They seem to be holding up quite nicely. I bought my 13 year old daughter a set as well and even the punishment she has inflicted upon them shows very minimal fraying.

**Q: Would these be good to use in bullet journaling? Has anyone tried it?**
A: Yes they would be good for bullet journaling. Remember that they're water based so you'll have to be patient and account for the keeping the page flat and possibly something under the page to keep the next page dry.

**Q: Are these non toxic?**
A: Yes they are non toxic and skin safe.

Fantastic set of watercolour brush pens.
