But yes, the ones I received are glass, and are nice and clear. The dome isn't too high, but it's high enough to give a nice 3D effect to the eyes. The design is printed on the backing which is stuck to the flat side of the eyes: I think it's paper, but it's tough and resilient. There's a good selection of sizes, designs, and styles. I am very pleased with them.Note: if you're buying these to add to dolls or teddies, they don't have loops on the back for stitching. The only way you can attach them is to glue them on, or to put them behind some sort of frame which surrounds the edges (you can do this with beading, or with fabric--anything you like).
