Review: plenty bright for my needs, and long battery life - There are so many of these available, I just took a chance after reading reviews and ordered this one. As you see in the photo, I mounted it on a tripod, which made the light extremely versatile. I use it to work on bikes, either on the floor or mounted on my lift table. So if I'm working on small parts or something with tricky adjustments, I have plenty of light. Working at my reloading bench with this light makes the job a lot safer. I usually use only the low or medium setting, as the high setting is a bit too bright, unless I need to illuminate something several feet away. I purchased a spare set of batteries, thinking I didn't want to get caught with dead ones in the middle of a job. But I've never needed them, likely because I seldom use the brightest setting. Three hours is the longest I've used it continuously so far, and I always plug in the charger after I'm finished work. Overall, 5 stars. But I gave it only 4 for versatility, due to it needing (my opinion) a better mount than the small bracket it shipped with.

**Q: Is it necessary to remove lithium ion batteries if the light has not been used for several months?**
A: I have not removed battery’s and after several months not in use and not charged for the same period of time. They turned on and worked for about an hour. 
So, I would say not necessary.
