Absolute perfection! The Coopers have once again tantalized, teased, tempted and dazzled us! One Night Stand is the perfect trifecta of drama, humor and romance. The story is powerful, compelling, romantic, arousing, sexy and well written. The characters are witty, relatable, lovable and interesting. The dialog is sassy, smart, intelligent and well articulated. And the banter between the characters is downright hilarious! I was turning the pages so quickly that my Kindle couldn't even keep up! Oh my! Liv Taylor was definitely having a long dry spell - no dates and no boyfriend. She just needed to get laid. So when her best friend and roommate all but dares her to have a one night stand with someone from the wedding they were attending- she thinks why the heck not? She's always been the good girl -a regular miss goody two shoes- until now! She deserves to have a good time and some hot sex for a change! Right? One night of hot passionate sex and Liv comes to face to face with her one night stand who happens to be her sister’s fiance? So as you can tell that only has the readers probably yelling OMG and WTF!!! Well if you are like, those two words came flying out of my mouth immediately when I read the prequel. And of course I wanted to get to the bottom of this so-called love triangle. One night stands could either be fun or what were you thinking scenario? So will Liv be able to face Mr. Tongue and her sister? WIll this be a one night affair or will there be more?This story was definitely a short enjoyable and fast read that will have you frustrated with the hot and cold Xander and at the same time be fascinated with his charm and dirty innuendos. I will say the hot and cold Xander irked me a bit and I did get annoyed that Liv was easily charmed by Xander but at the same time I understood their connections. Sometimes you can’t help but be drawn to the person you like regardless of the blurred status relationship. Would I say there is cheating? Hmm… in all technicality there is no cheating but there is the principle of being engaged. I think its hard for me to really say much because this book must be read to understand this so-called “triangle” involving Xander, Liv, and Liv’s sister, Gabby.Overall, I did enjoy this book. But I must say that Alice and Aiden stole the show for me especially Alice. I love her character so much in this book and I’m hoping that JS Cooper will write a book for Alice and Aiden,One Night Stand was fun, sexy, humorous, and filled with “drama.” It involved complicated and complex characters who were stuck in a situation that could be only solved with one of them admitting to the truth. So when I read the synopsis for this book and saw that Liv has a one night stand with a guy who ends up sitting on her parents couch the next day, well talk about an awkward situation to be sure. There were some things that worked for me in this book and some that totally did not.So I was a bit surprised that they made the hero in the book, Xander, the fiance of Liv’s sister. I mean it was kind of a recipe for disaster, which worked in some places and in others it was just kinda uncomfortable. I know books that deal with cheating are often deal breakers for a lot of readers (not me) so I think right away some people are going to be turned off to this book without knowing the full story, which is kind of a shame. But at the same time it does come off as a little bit gross in parts when Xander is still kind of hitting on Liv when he is in some kind of relationship with her sister.Xander is kind of hard for me to classify. I mean in parts I liked him, but a lot of times I thought his level of arrogance was just too much. I also really didn’t like how often they referred to his tongue, it was funny at first, and then it just got kind of gross. This guy takes confident to a whole new level.As for Liv. Well I liked her for the most part. At least she recognized how weird it was to find your one night stand engaged to your sister, I mean seriously that would be beyond uncomfortable. I liked her friend that she has come out to help her out with the situation. I actually think her friendship with Alice was one of the most enjoyable elements of this book.So Liv’s family plays a big role in this book, like a big role. So you get to meet and kind of start to get to know Liv’s brothers, and of course her sister. Obviously her sister is a big role because she is engaged to Xander, and truth be told she is so not a good person. I didn’t like her at all in this book, but I think that is the point. She made for a pretty good villain in the book.Overall, I liked the book, there were things I didn’t like but things I really did enjoy.
