I ordered these because I couldn't find an option: no used ones on ebay, no closing gyms willing to sell some, etc. But they're plain steel (not even stainless steel), with very little machining. For four weights, perhaps $5 in raw metal bar, 15 minutes worth of machining, and then shipping. The total was ~$250. I did it anyway and I might add very reluctantly. The site even tells you they're going to rust and you have to paint them yourself to prevent it. At that price you'd think they could have been coated. Again, I knew the price, I knew what I was getting, and did it only to complete a set.
