## Description

JQK Faucet Aerator, 1.5 GPM Flow Retrictor Insert Faucet Aerators Replacement Parts Bathroom 5 Pack, FAN15-P5 - desertcart.com

Review: Perfect for bathroom faucet - Works perfectly for bathroom faucets. I have two American Standard Princeton models, both ten years old. Quality item, just like original aerators. I couldn’t believe how much these improved my previously awful water pressure. Old hoses on new Hot Water Heater need to be replaced. Stupid handyman that installed it and was in a hurry said I didn’t need to; I should have insisted, now have to do it myself…oh well. Of course he would say that to an older woman! I’m pretty handy and do a lot of things in and around house myself. Jerk. Typical stuff here. Over time the rubber inside the stainless steel hoses starts to crumble, and ends up in the faucet aerators. Over time it making them far less efficient…and water pressure goes down. I found a lot of the black stuff in my aerators for all my faucets. A very wise and knowledgeable native born Floridian told me about this. I never had the problem before. No one else had any idea why the pressure could be so lousy; useless clods that move down here don’t know anything. Simple solution to the problem.
Review: Perfect Fit - I had to replace the Kohler kitchen faucet aerator and the American Standard bathroom faucet aerator after ten years of use. I bought both the 1.5 gpm and the 2.2 gpm aerators because I wasn't sure what the capacity of the old ones was and these are inexpensive. A hardware store will charge $4 a piece, I got ten for $16 and two washers per aerator. At the rate I use these, I will probably have to buy more in fifty years. I tried both in the kitchen faucet and found the 1.5 gpm aerator perfectly fine for the job. The 2.2 gpm was good if you want a 38% increase in water flow and don't mind a little splash when washing dishes, depending on your sink depth. Whatever my original aerator was, it was less than 2.2 gpm and more than 1.5 gpm, if possible. Maybe a very clogged aerator. I also put a 1.5 gpm aerator in my bathroom faucet as the 2.2 gpm would definitely be too much. The 1.5 gpm is also fine for the bathroom faucet, it is more than the original. The original was too weak. Another plus is that both aerators work in both Kohler and American Standard faucets as if made for them. There aren't that many different sizes for aerators and I would bet that these will fit most standard size faucets. Both my faucets are female, so I unscrew the male aerator assembly or ring, from the faucet, remove the clogged aerator, drop in the new aerator, replace or use the same rubber washer, and screw the ring back into the faucet. I have done this without using tools. You may need to use a wrench to unscrew your aerator, be careful not to turn the wrong way and strip your faucet. When I replaced these I screwed them into the faucets using just my fingers. Use a paper towel to cushion your fingers. No leaks, but I might just be lucky with these faucets. Another trick is to let everything dry before putting on a new aerator so you can get a better grip with your fingers. I highly recommend these aerators.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Easy install and resolved a Water Hammer issue!
*by L***T on August 2, 2024*

I am very satisfied with these 1.5gpm flow aerators. I bought them in an attempt to resolve a water hammer problem in our primary bath sinks. That is where the pipes would kind of vibrate in the walls when the water was turned on full, especially the hot water. After much research, following one suggestion I installed new faucet cartridges, no improvement. I then ordered Hammer arrestors to install under the 2 sinks for both the hot and cold lines, but procrastinated installing for 7-10 days while I did more research. In trying to remember what had changed before the water hammer problem started, I finally recalled installing some 2.2gpm aerators as the only thing that had changed. In none of my research did this come up as a possible issue. Since these were relatively cheap and easy to replace, I decided to order these lower 1.5 gpm flow aerators to just try before installing the hammer arrestors. The change to the lower 1.5gpm aerators resolved the water hammer problem introduced by the 2.2gpm aerators. They 1.5gpm aerators might even help with the runaway water bills, fingers crossed.
