I’m pretty sure it would allow any vehicle to open their access door fully as well, even those that open vertically. **Q: how far does it reach out from the hitch** A: Roughly 12"...Check with Yakima for exact distance. **Q: could I use this in conjunction with a hitch mounted cargo carrier?** A: Yes you can, it has a 2” hitch on the outer side where you stack any normal hitch mounted device. **Q: What is the distance this sticks out to the passenger side from the reciever? It says 30" but is that the overall length? My exhaust pipe is 28" over.** A: I guess I don’t understand the question... On the back of my PU, it clears everything even with bikes on a Hollywood rack.
