Or can I leave them with the loop wrapped around?** A: You need to unwrap/untwist each bundle to separate the individual plants. Undo the shoot wrapped around the bunch and then gently pull them all apart. There will be multiple plants in each bundle. **Q: Will this plant spred out and if so how quickly?** A: I am in the southern Appalachians. It spreads rather like ivy, that is to say the first year after planting it sleeps as it establishes its roots, the second year it creeps and throws out vines which in turn try to root and grow new plants. The third year it leaps and acts as ground cover. If this plant throws out a creeping vine where it is not desired, cut it off and plant it and water. The vines often will root. I have mixed several different kinds of vinca together and have a ground cover of different hues. Once established it chokes out most weeds but plants like day lilies and glads grow through it unimpeded. This is s very low maintenance plant and I think vinca thrives more with some negligence than with over attention and constant watering. I do fertilize with 10-10-10 in spring and fall as it will grow some and stays green in winter. **Q: How will these do in Texas? 55% sun. When would be the best time to plant?** A: 55% sun I think is good. I live in West Virginia zone 6. I think Vinca is much better than Ivy maybe Google to check the zone hardiness for Texas. This supplier is reasonable and plants have been very healthy. I have ordered 3 times. I have planted in August. September and in May. You WILL need yo water well u till established a bit. They will give you directions. **Q: Each bare root plant is looped with a tendril of the same plant. Does the loop need to be cut after the root is planted. I found trying to untie the** A: Best if you can unwrap as it is part of the length of the plant that will grow. If you find it tedious to unwrap, it can be clipped. Be sure to collect all the cut pieces and dispose in a trash bag so they don't blow into your main lawn area. Despite my attempts, the plants still died anyway. I did not report what happened. I feared if I purchased and made a second order, the Greewood nursery would send me another set of plants that were in poor condition like the first order..
