## Questions & Answers

**Q: Will these cutters cut clean tenons on a lathe too?**
A: I can'r answer with complete certainty since I don't own a lathe, but I would think that they might or I would be willing to try since a lathe is not much different than a drill press except that its horizontal rather than vertical and you can probably control the speed and feed just as well or better than a drill press.  It is an interesting idea in any case, then it would be much easier to make s group of round holes for the mortising part of the joint than a continuous square or rectangular hole as in a true mortise that requires a special tool.

**Q: Can these cutters be used in a drill or must they be used in a drill press?**
A: They work best in a drill press. Some of the smaller diameters could perhaps be hand drilled, but I'd practice first on some scrap.

**Q: Trying to find a great set that includes 7/8"...but how can these be used to plug holes, if they're not tapered? Please advise! Suggested tapered set?**
A: This set of tools makes plugs from the wood and grain texture of your choice. The approximate plug size is the dimension given on each of the tools in the set. So, to plug a 7/8- inch hole, you make a plug using the 7/8 -inch tool from the set. This set of tools is very high quality and should only be used with a drill press.

**Q: how deep?**
A: 2 1/8 inches deep but I don't go any deeper than 2 inches that way leaves room to put a screwdriver in th pop out the plug
