I bought the 2xl and he couldn’t get them past his knees. The 3xl would be for a 38” waist. **Q: They fit good but are a little long for my legs. I have bother medium and large sizes. The medium are snug around my thighs when I sit down. I'm a 34". On the advice from others here I ordered XL. WAY too large. I had to return them for medium which are perfect. They have a stretch waist, so unless you have a huge kaboose, and are 32" to 34" get the medium size.
