Have been fighting everything ever since. Now that he actually has his license, I really wanted the CarPlay to work so I really started working on it. The CarPlay will not stay connected and now won't work at all. Fought with 4 different iphones and settings with no luck. Then started troubleshooting with the stereo manufacturer until I removed this adapter and found it was the problem! This thing will NOT work with CarPlay. Maybe I received a defective one. Still trying to contact the seller to try and have it replaced. I'd love to get it working. I attempted to contact them. Hopefully, I can exchange it. The finished look is great.
