As long as I keep the grinder moving and don't try to get to aggressive, this tool is just amazing. It removes the paint and very little of the block surface. I would highly recommend this product to others who want to tackle a project like mine. Of note, I am removing paint from a wall which is damp which may help with removal. Had to refinish a 850 sqft deck where 35 grit sandpaper wasn't making a dent. Thank goodness I ordered two of these things. Halfway through the deck the disc was losing its oomph. Several bits were completely sheared off from screws and overall the wheel had become worn and dull. As far as longevity, both discs were trash after sanding the entire deck.
