The plugs were of impressive size and all appeared healthy. Plants are subject to failures despite best of care we acknowledge, and such has come to pass in this case. Four are vibrant and in flower with plenty buds in evidence. Two more are apparently viable despite absence of any growth. The remaining pair failed quite early on, 'Seren' in a matter of a few days, the other 'Bethan' has 'rot' from the leaf junction with the root, these despite all being potted and cared for identically. Watered sparingly and from below and kept out of direct sunlight. So, six out of the original eight to carry on challenging us to raise them into the bountiful display that we saw on television and later at Chelsea. That said, we tried planting them in a sheltered spot with dappled shade and they were happy there.
