I bought about 6 different silk cases from different companies to try to find a match for a set I already had, and in the mix I also bought a brand that made a particular silk-tencel blend. Well, when I had them all laid out side by side and felt the touch, looked at the sheen and noted the unique flexibility of the way the fabric moves and drapes, I have to admit that the Alaska Bear cases had the exact same characteristics as the silk-tencel blend, most distinctly. They did not have the same characteristic of the 100% silk cases I already had or some of the other brands that I feel were also 100% silk. I see that there are plenty of positive ratings for this Alaska Bear brand case and maybe I'm wrong - I don't know if there is a lab or test to determine what a material actually is made of, but this is my HONEST review. In a sense it's not even that important if it's 100% or a blend, the fact is, the characteristics did not feel to me nearly as nice as my original silk cases or another brand that duplicated that same look and feel. Maybe it's the way the threads are woven or dyed. Maybe not all silk is created equal. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Keeps my pillow cool, just like I wanted *by C***S on Reviewed in the United States on December 1, 2016* It is literally everything I wanted in a silk pillow case. Honestly, I mostly wanted it because I prefer the cool side of my pillow and a silk pillowcase keeps all sides of the pillow much cooler to the touch all the time. This accomplishes that goal perfectly. The only complaint I have, and it's a minor one, is that nowhere on any tag on this pillowcase does it actually list the momme weight. Now, I have no reason to believe it is not as advertised. However, I did seen many times on different seller's reviews that the product received by people didn't match the momme weight advertised, so, it seems to be a relatively common practice by sellers of silk pillowcases to over state the actual momme weight. I reiterate, I have no reason to think that the pillow case I got is not what was advertised; I just wish that the tags on the actual pillowcase stated a momme weight so I knew for sure. That being said, I am pleased with my pillowcase and have been using it every night since I got it. ### ⭐ No longer real *by J***E on Reviewed in the United States on September 30, 2019* This is the 3rd time I’ve purchased this pillowcase. The first two were amazing and real silk.I just purchased this new one and, as a textile artist I know silk, this is NO LONGER real silk. I did the burn test just now, and it melted (which means it’s plastic not natural fiber).
