First thing I did was to put it on charge until it reached full charge. I am 58 and have a mouthful of teeth which had brown staining at the gum line in between them that proved exceptionally difficult to remove following the instructions and holding the machine at a 45 degree angle I went in between and up and down each tooth and to my great surprise the stains were vanishing before my eyes . It's not all plain sailing as it is more difficult to use at the back of your teeth and to check you have to look in a mirror with a dental mirror in your mouth to see what you have done but with time , practice , patience and determination you will achieve the results you require. My only gripe is that you can't replace the tip so if you damage it it becomes a throw away object and you will need to purchase again, so be careful not to damage the tip. I had a lot of plaque tartar build up due to coffee at the back of my bottom teeth. Used this product twice and it cleaned about 95% of tartar and teeth are white. soo easy to use and already my mouth feels fresh. Did also purchase a water flosser in addition to this and its amazing how good my mouth feels. Has a fixed head so you have to buy one for each family member.
