## Description

desertcart.com: LorAnn Anise Oil Super StrengthNatural Flavor, 1 dram bottle (.0125 fl oz - 3.7 ml) - 12 pack : Grocery & Gourmet Food

Review: Strong stuff - My mother would make homemade licorice ice cream for me when I was young. I started making my own recently and this anise is powerfully flavored. You can't get too much licorice flavor for me.
Review: This oil is the best flavoring you can buy for pizzelles! - I bake pizzelles every year. These flat Italian cookies have much more flavor when made with this oil than made with anise extract. The oil doesn’t water down the cookie dough the way extract does, causing you to add more flour, which dilutes the flavor. Also, because of the intense flavor of the oil, you use less.

## Features

- Anise Oil (Pimpinella anisum) is a pure, natural essential oil and is used as a flavoring as well as in aromatherapy for its licorice aroma and flavor, and its digestive benefits. When used as a flavoring, use sparingly as essential oils are potent. Appropriate for use in chocolates and coatings (typical use is ¼ to ½ teaspoon per pound)
- A little goes a long way! LorAnn’s super strength flavors are three to four times the strength of typical baking extracts.
- A Dram is a small bottle that is the perfect size for 1 batch of homemade Hard Tack Candy (.125 fl oz approximately 1 teaspoon) Love the flavor and need a larger size? Most of the 100+ Super Strength flavors are availble in larger sizes. 1 ounce bottle contains approximately 6 teaspoons. -- 4 ounce bottle contains approximately 24 teaspoons -- 16 ounce and gallon are also available.
- Typical uses: hard candy, general candy making, cakes, cookies, frosting, ice cream and a wide variety of other baking and confectionery applications. - Kosher - Gluten Free
- Anise Oil (Pimpinella anisum)is a pure, natural essential oil and is used as a flavoring as well as in aromatherapy. Pure anise has a congealing (crystallization) point of 15ºC or 59ºF. If pure anise is exposed to temperatures below this point, the essential oil will solidify. If this happens, simply warm the anise oil until it is liquefied and shaken.

**Q: Do the bottles arrive with a past due expiration date? This listing states the expiration is 10/2022**
A: mine did not have an expired date

A: “Pure natural anise oil has a congealing (crystallization) point of 15 degrees C or 59 degrees F. If natural anise oil is exposed to temperatures below this point, the essential oil will solidify. If this happens, simply warm the anise oil until it is liquefied and shake”.

**Q: Is the size 0.0125 oz or 0.125 oz? The heading and the description offer conflicting size information. I'm thinking it's 0.125 oz.**
