When I removed all 3 of the screws (tricky to keep the unit from falling apart when disassembled innto the two halves) it did in fact just fit by clamping over the trigger guard. Make sure that you leave the battery compartment flap wide open before you tighten the three screws back down or it can wedge itself under the compartment opening when you push the two halves of the unit back together. Tough to turn the windage and elevation screws with that tiny allen wrench, but once I got it to move initially, it matched up with my front sight pretty easily. A nice unit, very snug fit when tightened... but don't make it too tight. **Q: Are there holsters available that accommodate the light?** A: Not that we know of at this moment.
