Perhaps most noticeable--and most important, from ease of use to safety, is the new buckle. The old buckles were tricky to unlatch; these new buckles release much more simply with the press of the button, and at the same time, still feel sturdy and secure.Another change--which seems very insignificant, perhaps--is the much more prominent listing of the model name on the seat--Classic Connect. This makes a big different, though. Graco has a number of lines of car seats, and a number of accessories (e.g., the car seat stroller frame) in which their seats fit. It used to take us a long time to remember which type we had, but now, one look at the seat makes it clear.Other features are the same and work great--the seat seems comfortable, the straps adjust as your baby grows, it's light-weight (in comparison to other seats we considered), and it works great with the base, with a simple pull of a lever to detach.Would buy this car seat again in a second. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent car seat! *by C***N on Reviewed in the United States on October 4, 2015* Bought this for my grandson because I used basically the same model for my kids over 20 years ago. This model hasn't changed much and that's a great thing. The base is convenient and it's easy to attach the seat to the base. Like all car seats there is a period of adjustment but once you get past that it's really easy to use this seat/carrier.My only complaint is when using it as a carrier it's quite heavy. Our little guy is a newborn and this seat with a 7 lb baby in it is too heavy for a new mom to carry, especially if she had a c-section.Other than that this seat is great. This general model has been around for at least 2 decades and I believe that says a lot!I love the shade..it works to keep the sun out of baby's eyes as well as keeping nosy strangers out of your baby's face.Works great to rock baby to sleep while out and about. Also a great, safe seat to use while cooking or doing anything when you can't hold the baby.Other than finding a way to make this lighter to carry I have nothing but praise for this car seat!! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Happy with the Car Seat! *by U***. on Reviewed in the United States on August 1, 2015* Great car seat! The fabric has the velvet texture on the sides (which I am personally not too fond of but it works) with a different, much easier to clean, fabric in the center where baby sits. There is an easily removable insert that goes behind baby's back and head with the cushion around the head (shoulder to shoulder). The only problem I have with this is that I learned a long time ago not to have any supports above the head and only on this sides since it can slip down behind baby's head, thus, pushing it forward and making breathing more difficult. Of course, that is just a precaution and to each their own. The "sun shade" has some mesh on the sides which is great for air ventilation. It also has a little pop out on the front that extends the shade a couple more inches. The straps are adjustable with the adjuster near the crotch like most car seats. There is a level on the car seat base for proper installation.
