I ordered it through the product's website because they were offering a discount at the time. I was a little taken aback by the size, but mainly because in all of the advertisements that I'd heard, I had NEVER heard any mention of needing more than one or of it being small.So for anybody looking for this product, it works great... Just make sure to get a two-pack (I have recently ordered this product from Amazon so that my dad will have a set) or you'll be stuck with just doing hamburgers, because the product is much smaller than I had anticipated. It does work though - My dad uses it to grill with and after a few steak nights, we all agree that it certainly works. The meat is juicier and has a nice look after grilling.And yes, you do need an actual grill to use it, as it is a grill enhancement system... I say this only because on the podcast that I heard the promotion for, several people actually complained that when they put the Mangrate on coals, they didn't feel that it worked right (because, of course, it's meant to lay ON the grill, not to BE a grill).I would highly recommend this product to anyone who likes to grill - just get at least 2 for best results! ### ⭐⭐⭐ Work great, but need too much maintenance *by R***N on Reviewed in the United States πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ on June 6, 2014* I have six of these. They are awesome. They cook, sear, and reduce flare ups really really well. The problem is they need to be seasoned and covered in oil EVERY single time they are used or they will rust and chip away. The cast iron isn't great quality and is sort of porous so this is really important. I thought I was being diligent, but it's just not possible to keep them in the manner that is necessary all the time especially if you grill year round as I do. I can't even quantify how much oil and pam etc... I have used up trying to protect them. Mine are now disintegrating and leaving small bits of burnt iron on my food. I need to throw them out or I'm going to need dental work. No joke. They do come with a "lifetime" warranty, but I have a feeling that I'm not going to be able to use it. I will update this review after I've spoken with Mangrate.
