## Description

Forever Mine (Tormentor Mine Book 4) - Kindle edition by Zaires, Anna, Zales, Dima. Romance Kindle eBooks @ desertcart.com.

Review: Epic finale: former assassin gets second chance at love and tries to hold on to it with everything - After years spent in pursuit of vengeance against those that are responsible for getting his wife and son killed, Spetsnaz operative turned assassin, Peter Sokolov, gets a second chance at love. After realizing that his Sara can never be happy living on the run, forever separated from her parents and friends, unable to practice medicine, Peter takes on one last dangerous job and makes a deal with devil that gets him off the FBI’s most wanted list and allows him to return to the US. Even though this means foregoing part of his revenge, he loves Sara more and wants to give her the life she yearns for. So after he has put a ring on her finger, he turns himself into a model citizen, giving up his predilection of solving problems with violence (mostly), is a supportive husband, a passionate and insatiable lover and a considerate son-in-law (the way he is with Sara's parents is endearing). But after some months of suburban bliss, an enemy from Peter’s past strikes unexpectedly and Sara’s life is once more turned upside down, only this time she isn’t going to let go of Peter… This is the forth and final book in Sara and Peter’s unconventional and tumultuous love story and it also brings back Nora and Julian (Twist Me trilogy) and Yulia and Lucas (Capture Me trilogy) whose lives and stories have intersected with Sara and Peter’s before. I hope I don’t give too much away by saying there is a HEA of sorts, even though the slight possibility of further stories in the high-octane world of international espionage and mercenary work is implied. The story is told in first person narrative alternating between Sara’s/Peter’s point of view which adds immediacy and lets us see into the psyche of the two main protagonists. It also helps to humanize Peter’s often over-the-top protectiveness and lets us see the struggles both Sara and Peter go thru coming to terms with their feelings regarding their rather unconventional relationship. After Julian I didn’t believe Anna Zaires could create an anti-hero that could top him, but I do think I love Peter even more. Because for all his ruthlessness he is the perfect dark romance hero: driven, scarred by his past, possessing a honed body he knows how to use in a fight as well as in the bedroom, and aside from being good with his hands he also knows how to cook. Sara, the heroine, is no pushover, but herself at least as driven as Peter and well-established in her profession (which she isn’t going to give up for him). So I not only love them individually, but also how well they balance each other out as a couple. Aside from writing great dark romance that grips you and doesn’t let you go I also love how Anna Zaires manages to infuse an underlying thread of social criticism into her stories: showing the consequences of US military operations on foreign soil and how civilians, especially children become collateral damage in endless wars over geo-political dominance. The way the behavior and overreach of US government agencies at home is portrayed here also calls into question the seemingly clear lines between those who are considered the good guys and bad guys, and ultimately between good and evil. Anna Zaires deservedly is considered one of the pre-eminent writers of dark romance! I hope she will give us more stories like this in the future!
Review: A Fantastic Conclusion To A Wonderfully Dark And Passionate Series! - I just finished this final book in the series and my head and heart are still spinning! While it was exciting finally getting to read the conclusion of Peter and Sara's story, I'm also sad to know that this story is really the conclusion of two other great series as well. In saying that I think it was a fantastic idea that the author brought together the two couples from earlier series that were important parts in Peter and Sara's story. I loved hearing about how their lives as couples were continuing. As for the final book in an already complicated and action filled emotional journey for Peter and Sara to reach their HEA, the story line was complete. The pacing was perfect, as the couple tried to slow down and live a "normal" life unforseen situations from Peter's past forced them to run for their lives again. Heartbreak and happiness added to the overall storyline at just the right times to keep the reader avidly engrossed in the continuation of the story. Bringing together old allies, such as Peter's previous teammates, at crucial moments made the action and certain situations more personal and believable. When Lucas, Julian and their wives were added to the conflict with Henderson the tension in the story escalates for several reasons, and helps engross the reader further. I felt like I couldn't read fast enough the further into the story I got. It's been my experience that when reading the final book in a series that there is always something that the reader either feels was rushed, wasn't explained completely, was left out etc.,you understand my point. I believe that Anna wrote the PERFECT final book for Peter and Sara! I honestly can't think of anything I feel was missed or should have been written differently. It's not very often that can be said. I'm sad that the series is complete as I loved Peter and Sara's completely unorthodox romance, but it will make for great rereading. While it wasn't necessary to read either of the other couple's series to understand their importance in this final part the Peter and Sara's journey, I HIGHLY recommend that you do. Not only does Peter appear in both series, but you're missing out on fantastic dark complex romantic reads.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Awesome... Anna Zaire’s has done it again... Must Read!!!
*by L***D on May 1, 2019*

Awesome conclusion to Peter and Sara’s story... well worth waiting for this fourth book! There were moments I wanted to scream and shake Sara, it’s like ‘enough already’ or ‘wake the hell up’!! I mean, seriously... by now surely she can’t still be squeamish of Peter’s skill set, and his way or dealing with deadbeats! Yet she wants to live a ‘normal’ suburban life... duh? This is where Anna Zaire’s brilliant writing draws you in, gets to you, makes you invested beyond just reading a story. Admittedly, I did think the ending seems a bit rushed, it cuts off from Peter’s impending landing with Kent and Julian to the ‘next day’... would have liked to have a little bit more written there :-( Overall, still a great book! Many thanks to to have received an ARC in exchange for our honest review. I also purchased this book from Amazon directly. Ps. My favorite couple is still Julian and Nora... for me, the Twisted Trilogy is still the best! Anna, an extended epilogue on Julian and Nora will be the ultimate, divine!!! 🥳
