As I’m putting it together, I see a lot of structural engineering faults that may make this trailer fail. The welds aren’t that great, there could’ve been another drop down wheel towards the middle of the trailer to support the bar weight, it could’ve been more of a tubular design as opposed to box tubing which has more failure points. As I am 70, I do not find it convenient to haul it on my shoulders. Also, as this is a quality craft, I do not wish to drag it along the ground. The trailer more than meets my needs, and, during the summer, I will leave the canoe on the trailer instead of moving it to and from the storage cradle. I also have a 17 foot canoe which I use when I have company.
