The lavender smell does a great job masking bad odors, and they are really sturdy. The packaging is adorable, and you get a lot of bags for what you pay for. They are user friendly, a lovely color, AND they are good for the environment. I also like how easy they are to open and the rolls are less bulky to carry around. At least one of every three bags rips open. Not only do they not smell like lavender (or anything nice), but they don’t even lessen the smell of the poop. I kept thinking I had stepped in poop because the odor was so strong, while walking outdoors. I usually use the cheap wal-mart bags, I never smelled the poop through those. Also, the roll comes unraveled out of the dispenser, which never happened with the wal-mart bags. I don’t have a yard, so we go through a lot of bags, I was hopeful for the biodegradable aspect, but very disappointed.
