It's very attractive and was a snap to put together - or more precisely - a few spins of the wooden base onto the screw at the bottom of the metal portion of the stand. The circular wood base is a fairly solid piece of wood and the color is beautiful. Most of the other stands in the same price range just had a circle of metal for the base and I was concerned that the weight of several bananas might make them tip over but no need to worry about that with this stand. Excellent value considering the nice wood base and it's also taller than some of the others which is great if you have long bananas. Does the job of allowing bananas to ripen more evenly, instead of turning brown or bruising where the bananas are laying on the counter, while the other side or inner curve is still a little green and this stand looks good while doing it and doesn't take up much counter space. I also received a very nice, friendly follow-up email from the seller to make sure I'd received it, that it was in good condition, and that I was happy with my purchase and letting me know I shouldn't hesitate to contact them if had any questions, concerns, or problems and although I didn't need to, I felt as though it wasn't just lip service and they sincerely want to provide excellent customer service, which is a rare thing these days. It wasn't the usual impersonal form email you often receive from sellers and while they did ask me to write a review if I liked the product, they asked very nicely and weren't pushy about it as has been my experience with some sellers on desertcart. All in all, I'm extremely pleased with both my lovely new banana stand and who I bought it from. If you are looking to buy a good, solid, attractive banana stand, and want the assurance of good customer service just in case there are any problems, don't hesitate to purchase this one. I make smoothies a lot, so the brown mushy bananas are good for that.
