The outer cover is soft and comfortable, and it can be removed for cleaning. To deflate it, just push the spring loaded valve and the air is released. Roll the deflated pillow up and store it in the included plush bag. When you are pumping the pillow up, leave the side port cover open because that is where the pump draws in air. When you are finished pumping it up, then you can cover the port.The pillow fits firmly around your neck and provides support when you need to rest and relax.
