These clips are great in that so far I have not had any of that. I am a big guy, and work outdoors or in the shop, so I wear heavy jeans daily, with my wallet, wad of keys and knife in my pockets, along with whatever tool I happen to be carrying. And no failures. Just great performance. And the adjustment clips hold great also. The woven fabric make them easy on the shoulders and when I do wear a dress shirt they are not completely out of place. This is my first pair of suspenders with the Y back rather than the X, and the clip placement in the center is much more comfortable as well. The colors are very nice on the selections I purchased, and I am happy about the price. I first went to Nordstroms and paid $100.00 for a pair and they slipped off the pants with their plastic/metal clips. The metal clips on these suspenders hold very well. You do see the indentation in the material where the teeth hold on which at first worried me that this would damage the material. I found no problem.
